SGA Spring Conference & AGM
"Inclusion and Behaviour"
Proceedings opened with the SGA AGM - a relatively brief exercise - followed by keynote speakers from the Race Equality Minority Achievement - REMA. Roger Feltham, REMA Operational Manager and Pat Barr, REMA Development Manager, addressed the audience on “Improving Outcomes for Traveller Children and Young People in Surrey”.
The next session was led by three Headteachers - Duncan Greig, Headteacher, Hythe Primary School, Maureen Giles, Headteacher, the Virtual School for Surrey Children in Care and Ron Searle, Headteacher, The Warwick School (Secondary) - to talk about how inclusion and behaviour issues are handled in their own schools. Several of the audience commented on how inspiring the morning was and how the speakers' knowledge and passion for their subjects really hit home.
Reports of the conference programme including speakers’ presentations and notes will be published on this website as soon as they become available.
The REMA presentations and the presentation on the Virtual School for Surrey Children in Care, are now available in our News pages.
